The Commission examined how TAL Life Limited (TAL) handled claims made by three people under income protection policies. The Commission heard evidence from Ms Loraine van Eeden, the General Manager of Claims. Ms van Eeden made three statements to the Commission. Only two of those statements were tendered; the person to whom the third statement related did not wish to have their circumstances examined by the Commission.[1]
